After your photo session, it will take 1-2 weeks to edit your images. You will receive a thumb-drive with high-resolution images for you to print at your will. You may post any pictures online, but please give me credit. You can use one of the following links to my website or facebook page and have the photos labeled as "Taken by Madison Ellingson Photography". Thank you!

Newborns are best to shoot 5-10 days after birth. Photographing newborns in the first 2 weeks is preferable. It is not impossible to photograph them past the 2 week mark, but it is more difficult to get their “squishy” poses where they will still sleep through most of the photo shoot. I typically photograph newborns in my home in Brooklyn, NY. I have quite a few props, backdrops and setup in my home, but I am available to travel if you prefer to stay at home. (Travel fee will apply if you are more than 10 miles from my home.) I encourage you to look around your house and use what props you have available as well, as it adds a personal touch! Newborn sessions usually take up to 3 hours.
* If you are pregnant, it is hard to know exactly when your baby will come. Just let me know when your due date is and I can schedule a tentative time around that date and we will keep in close contact as the date approaches.
Children sessions are at the location of your choice or in my home studio. Sessions can vary in length with children depending on their mood and how they are feeling. Children need breaks, snacks, and some down time in order to help them loosen up and smile their “real” smile! Children sessions can last up to 90 minutes.
Please bring your little ones fed, napped, and happy for the best results!
Family sessions are at any location of your choice. I can go anywhere that you like! Choose a spot that describes your family best. Many people ask what they need to wear and this is different for what style you are going for. I typically say to wear colors that are coordinating throughout, but not everyone matching in the same color. Accessorize with the coordinating color and wear lots of layers. Bring fun hats, shoes, scarves and jewelry! Avoid logos and large print on shirts. It is also best to have someone there with your family that the kids know. This helps with their smiles and making them laugh.
